Ive always referred to going to bed or laying down to sleep as drifting off into sweet oblivion. Besides its a rather peaceful pic.
The doll in the photograph is somewhat of a technical achievement (well for me personally anyway) Casting matte finished resin doll parts in darker skin-tones is really difficult. Resin goes berserk if you add more than a tiny amount of pigment to it especially if your casting matte finished parts. and it scars easily and really cant be sanded..well not with traditional means (this is why most resin dolls are very pale)
Anyway, It took about a year of experimentation to figure out mix and cast a nice even blemish free dark flesh tone resin that can be sanded.
My original Doll sculpt is in Chavant clay, from that i pull silicone molds and cast in a custom resin mix, i then drill my parts hollow and string with elastic (my dolls are completely poseable) i sand down the seams then paint on the makeups. The eyes are 17mm handmade masterpiece silicone eyes, his wig is made from braided mod acrylic.
I looooove the braids. Is it a new thing for you, because they look great! The pose and backdrop are gorgeous, as per usual. ^^ Amazing work. The flesh tone is great, your work paid off.

Wow! You've done something even the big Asian doll companies haven't been able to pull off. That's great! The skintone is beautiful, so smooth and doesn't seem to have the orange tone that I've seen in some tanned dolls. He's so beautiful...I wish my Hound had this skintone XD Amazing work!
that doll is gorgeous! i love the skin color...especially with the red....and that hair is awesome <3 i love that style on guys XD nice work! really impressive, as always!
