I took this photo in early June if I'm not mistaken but Ive been so busy with work and personal matters that its taken me till today to post it.

It appeared in the October issue of Dollreader

Aside from just the usual business with work, last month my house in Pittsburgh sold (this is a good thing)...BUT,..for the past two and a half months Ive been stuck in real estate limbo "If any of you have sold a house, especially recently, you know exactly what I'm talking about" there was also a recent death in the family that's left me feeling mildly depressed and to top it all off this week coming i have to pack up everything i own and move it five hours south,....sigh,

I'm about 5 months behind on my DA comments and about 2 weeks behind on my emails, I just want to say I'm sorry to everyone who's asked a question or commented, I keep telling myself ill catch up eventually.. Right now my priority is finishing up doll orders and once im caught up than ill be able to do things i enjoy like spending time on DA :-)

The dolls in the photo were completely handmade by myself, the seated doll is my 2.0 sculpt with the scared/nervous expression sculpt and the standing doll is a limited edition vampire sculpt, the only Photoshoping used in the photo was to change the color balance to make the photo look like it was taken at night and to give the vampires eyes a bit of a glow, all the sets and props are real and actually in photo

I did the original doll sculpts in Super Sculpey, from my original sculpture i pull silicone molds and cast in a custom resin mix, i then drill my parts hollow and string with elastic (my dolls are completely poseable) i sand down the seams then i use ground up pastels to paint on the makeups. the wigs are mod-acrylic

The amazing costumes are made by Dreux Priore, you can visit his site is here---> [link]
